Mitel Microsoft Unified Communication Integration

Working with Microsoft Live Communications Server 2005 and Office Communications Server 2007, Mitel has provided several solutions through the Mitel 3300 IP Communications Platform. The end result of this multi-faceted integration is an increase in mobility and ultimately productivity. Remote call control is one the key features which allows a remote based employee access to their Mitel desk phone while either travelling or working from home. Mitel’s key integration can be seen when a worker uses the Mitel Live Business Gateway. Working with Microsoft’s Server 2007, an employee can use IP-based solutions while accessing the server through a secure connection. Finally, Mitel’s Microsoft UC Integration offers end-users the ability to use an SIP softphone to connect to their PC. This solution is typically for employees that do not have a desk phone, but instead use SIP embedded sessions to work remotely.
