Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., Telecommunication Systems Division reaches a new market with the Strata CIX1200, a VoIP business communication system that targets medium to large sized companies, supporting up to 1,000 IP telephone users and networking of 128 sites. As the largest Strata CIX family member to date, the new platform is based on the company’s earlier Strata CIX670 (same cabinet), but with an improved processor and expansion to 12 cabinets, nearly doubling the port capacity from 672 (Strata CIX670 7-cabinet system) to 1,152 ports (Strata CIX1200). With a network of 128 sites (all CIX1200 systems), the total number of networked stations can reach 128,000.
